A Sober Living Amarillo TX offers many services for the homeless and the mentally ill. It is not a prison. It accepts clients that have either been convicted of crime, are on probation or parole and are in the process of being assessed for in-home care. It is a community-based organization that offers services to people in recovery and can often times provide short-term transitional housing. If a client cannot afford longer term substance abuse treatment or if they are transitioning from jail or an apartment, they may be referred to this organization for more affordable housing and support. The transitional care residential long-term treatment program provides the highest quality care in a secure environment. Individuals may be referred to the program by their doctor, the county jail or other agencies that handle substance abuse cases. Transitional services may be offered by the court, an individual client who is in the process of getting out of jail, persons with co-occurring mental and substance abuse disorders, criminal justice clients, adolescents, young adults and older persons. Many of the Sober Living Amarillo TX programs accept people who do not have health insurance. This organization offers detoxification supervision. They also provide transition programs, employment assistance and referral to other resources that are available in the community. When persons leave jail or a halfway house, they need assistance to find employment and housing in the community. This is where Sober Living Amarillo TX comes in, along with providing the highest quality of care.
