Learn More about Sober Living in Florida

Welcome to the Bridge NY, we a transitional living agency that aims to assist people to discover their way out of society. Every year we see folks who have found themselves increasingly incapable of handling life on their own and have decided to seek psychiatric help. They are generally aged 65 years or older and have either experienced a life threatening accident or illness, or maybe their condition has developed over the years. Whatever the reason, their condition has left them feeling like an invalid, and a ghost of their former self. It’s bad enough when you’re suffering from a debilitating disease like Alzheimer’s or a terminal illness, but it’s worse if you feel like a prisoner in your own body. That’s why I love to work with people like you who have found themselves so isolated and cut off from the world, that they’ve chosen to take advantage of a so called “sober living” or “transitional” program to come clean, get back into shape, and re-connect with themselves. You may have already seen some of my TV shows dealing with Florida’s Sober Living, or Transition, programs. If you live in or near Orlando, you’ve probably caught a glimpse of one or more of my Sober Living houses. These are specially designed facilities that provide the ultimate in drug and alcohol recovery from a hotel room, halfway house, rehab center, or other such establishment. What the owners of these homes/restaurants/coaches do is provide an environment that allows a person to “get away from it all” and try to make a complete recovery from their addiction or condition. People who’ve had past experiences associated with the use of illegal drugs, or any other addiction, will understand what we’re talking about when we say that these houses help give people a new start in life. They give them a place to start “harming” their physical bodies, and their psychological ones as well, by providing the right combination of care, assistance, therapy, and support that they need in order to fully recover from their condition. As a former counselor for one of these homes, I was always amazed at how well the occupants of these hotels and boarding schools were doing, despite the fact that they’d have been living in the same situation (or worse!) their entire lives.
