The so-called transitional living facilities provide treatment and education programs for so called “at risk” youth. These programs offer professional guidance in managing the problem. The transitional living apartments are designed for at risk tenants and their families. Transitioning personnel are professionally trained staff members with experience in transition settings. The residential treatment center provides both substance abuse treatment and educational programs. Sober Living Ohio is a licensed community housing facility that has been licensed since 1963. The mission of Sober Living is to provide dignified living conditions to residents in a reasonably peaceful environment, while offering outstanding care and support. Some of the amenities offered by Sober Living include: healthy, clean, quiet and safe environment for all residents; access to medical care when needed; and opportunities for active and recreational social interaction with other residents. For a nominal fee, families in transitional living homes throughout Ohio can seek a complete assessment and plan for their individual needs. Families are assigned an experienced counselor who works with them to create a personalized plan for them. Sober Living Ohio offers recovery residences and sober houses in Columbus, Cleveland, Mentor, Parma, Toledo and Youngstown. The residential treatment centers offer a variety of options for families including: outpatient recovery residences, inpatient recovery residences, short term rehab programs, inpatient treatment and residential treatment services.
